Issues and non-issues

There is a fine line between issues and non-issues and a government is the best judge of whether the time is ripe for dealing with a problem or not. The current problems that the critics want addressed include restoring supremacy of the parliament, seizing BB's killers and repealing of the 17th amendment. When the common man is questioned about most important issues of today, he comes up with a drastically different list of things. The government is wise to have placed the critics problems on the backburner and is giving preference to solving the issues concerned with the everyday life of the citizens. Every issue will eventually be resolved but at the right time. -MAHA MASOOD, Lahore, December 31.
