Family seeks justice against MPA

ISLAMABAD - Family members of Ali Murad, hailing from Sindh province, went on a hunger strike for an indefinite period against the brutality of a ruling PPP MPA, before the National Press Club here on Tuesday. According to the poor family members, despite the Sindh High Court decision, Kashmor police is reluctant to take action against the sitting MPA of PPP, who illegally grabbed the fish farm of a resident of his constituency. According to details, MPA Ghalib Khan Domki recently grabbed the land of Ali Murad, a resident of Bakhashpur, Kashmor. After grabbing the farm, the said MPA threatened Ali Murad and his family members of dire consequences if they showed resistance. He did not even show respect for the court verdict. Owing to brutality of the PPP MPA, Ali Murad along with his wife, five sons and two daughters left Bakhashpur, his native town in Sindh. Talking to TheNation, Shah Zeb, the eight-year-old son of Ali Murad, said, My mother is suffering from numerous diseases but due to insecurity we left our home. Ali Murad said that the fish farm was the only source of bread and butter for his family but now he was unable to make ends meet. He informed that he visited various PPP secretariats in Sindh Province but to no avail.
