LAHORE The final of the Chief Minister Sports Cup for intermediate level football will be played today between Faisalabad and Sargodha here at 10.30 am while Multan will face Rawalpindi for the position match earlier in the day. Sargodha crawled to the football final beating Lahore by one goal. The all-important goal of the semi-final came from Zeeshan. In the other match of the day, Multan beat Bahawalpur 2-0 and both the goals from the winner team were scored by Mohammad Shaban. Dera Ghazi Khan beat Sahiwal 3-0 with Mohammad Saghir getting two goals while Waleed converted one. In volleyball boys, DG Khan beat Sargodha 2-0; 25-16, 25-16. Rawalpindi beat Multan 2-0; 25-14, 25-08. Sahiwal beat Gujranwala 2-0 25-12, 25-18. Now Faisalabad will take on Lahore in the final while Sahiwal and GD Khan will go for a placing match. In girls volleyball, Lahore beat Multan 2-0; 25-08, 25-20. Sargodha beat DG Khan 2-1, 25-18, 14-26, 15-9. Faisalabad and Sargodha will play the final while DG Khan and Bahawalpur will play a third place match. Principal of Government College for Women Township will be the chief guest. Sahiwal got walk over against Multan while Faisalabad beat Sargodha 7-0 in girls hockey. Saba and Ishrat scored two goals each while Rahila, Saira and Zakia shared one each. Gujranwala beat DG Khan 2-1 as the winners got their goals through Laraba and Aysha and the losing team scorer was Saima Shaheen. In badminton for girls, Faisalabad and Rawalpindi. Faisalabad beatMultan 2-0 while Rawalpindi beat Bahawalpur 2-0. to claim third place Multan beat Bahawalpur 2-0. In boys, Lahore and Faisalabad made their way to the final. Lahore beat Sahiwal 2-0 while Faisalabad beat Multan 2-0. Multan beat Sahiwal 2-0 to claim third place.
