3 murdered over old enmity in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI - Three men were murdered in a bloody clash occurred at Mareer over old enmity, within the limits of Police Station (PS) Civil Lines here on Thursday.
Soon after the incident, the area police rushed to the crime scene and shifted the dead bodies identified as Muhammad Ashraf son of Muhammad Mansab, Mustafa Khan son of Muhammad Ashraf and Habib son of Safdar, to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) for autopsy.
According to Investigation Officer, Sub Inspector (SI) Mansab Khan, a brawl had developed between the two parties at Mareer over some old enmity. During the clash, the SI said, Chanzaib alias Channa along with five of his accomplices opened fires at the rival party and killed three people on the spot. The killers later managed to escape from the scene, the SI added. He also said that both members of the parties were close relatives of each other.
A murder case was registered against Chanzaib alias Channa and Khanwaiz, son of Khudadad, Babar son of Dilawar, Dilawar son of Allahdad, and Akhter son of Banaras. Police parties have been formed to arrest of the killers, informed Mansab Khan adding that the police were conducting raids at different places to arrest the killers.
On the other hand, fear gripped the whole area after the triple murder as people proffered to stay indoor while shopkeepers closed down their business.
