ISLAMABAD - Islamabad Police have arrested 16 outlaws from various areas of the city including six women for their alleged involvement in immoral activities and recovered 1.550 kilogram hashish, six pistols and wine from their possession, a police spokesman said on Saturday.

According to details, Sub-Inspector Ghulam Shabir and ASIs Ali Asghar and Iqbal Mehmud from Tarnol police station arrested Saqib Khan, Arsalan Iftikhar, and Ejaz Ali Khan for having three 30-bore pistols and 450-gram hashish.

In first incident, Shams Akbar from CIA police apprehended Zakir for possessing 1.100 gram hashish while Sub-Inspector Muhammad Iqbal from Industrial area police arrested a bootlegger Kamran Azam for possessing two wine bottles while.

On a tip-off, ASI Muhammad Ishaq from Sabzi Mandi police along with team raided at House No. 514, Street No. 15, sector I-10/2 and arrested Niaz Gul, Riaz, Gul Nisa, Shazia, Sehar, Saba, Asifa for their alleged involvement in immoral activities.

In other incident, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Azam from Margalla police station along with team nabbed Aleem Raza, Sumera from G-9 Markaz for their alleged involvement in immoral activities.

Meanwhile, ASI Fiaz Akbar from Sabzi Mandi police arrested Muhammad Rafiq for possessing 9 MM pistol and 50 rounds while Sub-Inspector Muzaffar Hussain from Shehzad town police nabbed Ansar Mehmud for having 30 bore pistol as well as seven rounds.

ASI Aurangziab from Sihala police apprehended Shahab Ud din and recovered 30 bore pistol from him.

Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.

While reviewing this overall performance, IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad have directed all police officials to ensure effective policing measures in their respective jurisdictions and curb activities of anti-social elements.
