ISLAMABAD - The dense fog that enveloped the capital city on Saturday night reduced the visibility to a few metres, irking the motorists.

The thick fog strolling down the roads of federal capital on one hand provided the residents of federal capital romantic environment, while on the other hand in the face of low gas pressure it enhances the miseries of the people, who have to arrange for their square meals in the long gas outages. Though the city streets and markets are wearing a deserted look, tea and coffee stalls are thronged with youngsters, who are enjoying the flavours of misty weather having coffee and other hot drink.

“I usually return home from work at around 1:00am on my bike. But today it seems really difficult to drive as on road the there is almost zero visibility due to the fog,” said Talha Zubair, who works at a private TV Channel in Islamabad.

Met department officials have predicted more foggy nights in the capital in coming days. Drivers are being advised to remain extra cautious on the roads. The fog in federal capital broke all previous records and according to met office the same weather conditions will persist for two to three days.
