LAHORE - Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust (NPT) on Saturday organised a lecture on “Role of Women in Nation building and Progress” at the Aiwan-i-Karkunan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan.

Government Islamia College for Women Cooper Road Prof Haleema Afridi addressed while Begum Surayya Khurshid presided over the sitting.

Prof Haleema Afridi said that women took an active part not only in the establishment of the country but also in the nation building.

She said that the nation today was facing a hard time. “The women by nurturing the young generation could make the nation a strong one”, she added. Quoting Hazrat Khadijah (RA) and Hazrat Fatima (RA), Fatima Jinnah played an important role in the history.

She said that role of women in nation building could not be ignored at any cost.

Begum K H Khurshid and Prof Dr Parveen Khan also addressed on the occasion.

Students get Aghi:  The students of Quaid College of Commerce Wahdat Road on Saturday visited the Aiwan-i-Karkunan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan to attend Aghi programme of Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust (NPT). They also visited the Pakistan Movement Gallery on the occasion.

Also, mobile ideological units led by their coordinators visited Ghousia Mehria Public School Zarrar Shaheed Road, Jamia Gulzar-e-Safina Barki Road, Government Gharagh Girls High School Begum Pura, Usman School System Singh Pura, Government Junior Model Primary School Band Road, Unique Kids Grammar School Band Road, Government Girls Middle School Liaqatabad and government Islamia Public School Kot Lakhpat respectively.
