Crime combating strategy to continue in new year: SSP

Islamabad - Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) police adopted effective strategy to combat criminal elements during the previous year and such approach would continue in 2016 for minimising the crime rate.
It was stated by Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Sajid Kiani while speaking at a crime control meeting held here yesterday. The meeting was attended among others by all SPs, SDPOs, SHOs and other police officials. The SSP reviewed the performance of each police station and directed to accelerate efforts to combat criminal elements. He urged for effective patrolling and asked that all Zonal and Circle police officials should reach the crime scene in case of any mishap.
Kiani said that crime rate has come down during 2015 and such crime combating strategy would remain continued in future. He ordered for effective surveillance in crime prone areas. The SSP asked police officials to assign their subordinate task as per their expertise. He asked SP CIA to arrange courses for the investigation officers to improve their professional attitude.
Kiani said that all police employees must have knowledge for pursuing court summons as per law. He said that official sources must be utilised with responsibility and protection to the lives and property of the citizens must be ensured.
