ISLAMABAD – Essco Club thrashed Islamabad Gymkhana Club by eight wickets in a friendly fixture played here at National ground on Tuesday. Islamabad Gym, batting first, were bowled out for 161 in 34 overs. Shoaib was only batsman, who survived Essco bowling and slammed 46 hitting 7 fours. Hassan Ali was wrecker-in-chief for Essco as he grabbed 4-34, while Abdul Ghaffar and Hassan Sultan took three wickets each. Thanks to sensational batting by opener Kamran Shah, who hammered unbeaten 62 hitting 5 fours and 4 towering sixes, Essco achieved the target in only 20.2 overs losing just two wickets. M Naqash added unbeaten 45 and Umair Abbasi 32. Essco Club president Muhamamd Shabbir congratulated his team on its brilliant success and hoped they would continue to perform well in future too.
