Infuriated people set on fire many shops and houses during riots after murder of two persons by armed men in a land dispute in Pir Jo Goth, an area of Khairpur. According to police, armed people opened fire at a spare-parts shop of Ansari Brothers situated at Thana Road in Pir Jo Goth city. In result, a 25-year-old Abdul Waheed died on the spot whereas two percons were severely injured. Later, one injured man Nisar Ansari succmbed to wounds in Civil Hospital Khairpur. Protesting against the incident angry people began rioting and torched Rind communitys ten houses, 15 shops and two vehicles.Receiving reports, DPO Khairpur with heavy police contingent reached the place of incident and controlled the situation. However, the area is still tense while people were directed to be confined in their houses.
