LAHORE The committee constituted by the Chief Minister Punjab for monitoring treatment facilities to the injured of Data Gunj Bakhsh blasts on behalf of the CM distributed cheques of Rs 3 million each in Mayo Hospital and Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. Cheques of Rs 75,000 each were given to 30 patients in Mayo Hospital and 10 in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. The monitoring committee comprising MNA Mian Marghoob Ahmed, MNA Bilal Yaseen and MPAs Hafiz Mian Naeem, Salman Rafiq and Dr Asad Ashraf distributed the cheques among those fatally injured in Darbar attacks. The patients and their attendants expressed their satisfaction over the treatment facilities being provided to them and thanked the Punjab CM, the doctors and paramedical staff who were looking after them day and night. PML-N leaders said that there was no substitute of human life, however, the CM had announced financial assistance of Rs 0.5 million each for the martyrs of Data Gunj Bakhsh mayhem. The committee will distribute the financial assistance cheques to the remaining injured persons who are under treatment in other hospitals on Tuesday.
