LAHORE - Inspector General of Police Punjab Tariq Saleem Dogar suspended DSP/SDPO Lower Mall Circle on charges of misconduct, inefficiency and negligence in duty with immediate effect on Monday. The DSP has now been transferred and closed to Police Headquarters, Punjab. However, the DSP will draw his salary and allowances as permissible under the rules. Meanwhile Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), Muham-mad Aslam Tareen, in view of defective security and dereliction of duty during Data Darbar tragic incident, has suspended SHO Lower Mall, Inspector Nazir Ahmed Opel, Incharge Police Post Darbar Sub-Inspector Aslam, constables Nasir Ali and Tahir Mehmood deployed at Gate No.5, with immediate effect. CCPO has also ordered strict departmental action against these police officials.
