LAHORE - Chief Justice Lahore High Court Khawaja Muhammad Sharif has directed CCPO Lahore to establish contact with incharge of a newly set up forensic laboratory in Lahore to trace actual culprits involved in the attacks at holy shrine of Data Darbar. In his remarks, the CJ also said that security agencies should also consider possible involvement of Black Water in the bombing on the shrine of Data Darbar during the probe. Earlier, CCPO Lahore Aslam Tareen appearing before the court admitted on Monday that the suicide bombings at shrine occurred owing to inadequate security arrangements at the holy shrine. The CCPO also submitted a report in the court stating therein that security lapse had been found in the attacks at Data Darbar. Mr Tareen also reiterated polices typical resolve that action would be taken against all those who were found responsible for the lapse. Tareen informed the court that investigation is underway. Upon this the Chief Justice remarked that the report revealed that yet neither any fruitful results had come to surface nor any inquiry had been started by police on the attacks. The CJ adjourned further hearing of suo motu notice till July 9 with directions to the CCPO and the authorities concerned to brief the court about the investigations on next hearing. The CJ directed the CCPO to establish contact with the in-charge of a newly established forensic laboratory in Lahore who can help police in tracing the culprits involved in such attacks. The CJ noted that 18 forensic experts who got training in United States America are now working in the forensic lab of Lahore headed by Dr Muhammad Tahir. The CJ ordered the CCPO that actual culprits be arrested and there should not a typical police Kaarvaiy in this matter as people/nation wanted that real culprits should be booked and put behind the bars. On Friday, the CJ had taken suo motu notice of the suicide bombing on the premises of Data Darbar. The court will resume hearing on July 9.
