Taliban chief in Afghanistan Mullah Omar has been arrested, claimed American media on Monday. But the US Defence Department, Pentagon, however, declined to comment on the news report. The American bloggers are also claiming that the Taliban chief was captured from Karachi Mullah Omar is wanted by the US for sheltering Osama bin-Laden and his Al-Qaeda network in the years prior to and during and immediately after the September 11 attacks. He is believed to be directing the Taliban in their war against Hamid Karzais government and Nato troops in Afghanistan from Pakistan.
