Islamabad: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has left for Norway on a three-day official visit, to participate in Oslo Summit on Education for Development. The Prime Minister is undertaking the visit, at the invitation of Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg, to participate in the Oslo Summit on Education for Development taking place tomorrow, 7th July.

This is the first official visit of a Pakistani leader to Norway in over a decade. The Prime Minister will address the Education Summit and interact with several world leaders.

The Prime Minister will hold delegation level talks with his Norwegian counterpart. He will also meet Crown Prince of Norway Haakon Magnus. The visit will provide an opportunity to the Prime Minister to discuss bilateral, as well as global and regional issues with the Norwegian leadership.

Foreign office spokesman said, the Prime Minister’s visit will help in strengthening the existing ties between Pakistan and Norway.
