Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar has stated that Pakistan is expecting Chinese investment of approximately one billion dollars in Gwadar Free Zone phase two inaugurated by PM Imran Khan yesterday.
This zone is thirty five times bigger than the first phase which has captured the interest of Chinese investors, and they have shown great interest for investment in this zone, he stated while briefing media persons in Gwadar.
The Minister further stated that South Balochistan package worth 600 billion has been launched by
PM Imran Khan in November. He added that this year, fifty three projects of this package have been made part of the development plan.
Asad Umar further added that on the instructions of Prime Minister Imran Khan, record development is being carried out in Balochistan province.
He concluded by saying that the development work is being executed with the partnership of Balochistan government.
