21 killed, 47 injured in Colombo bomb blast

The military says the death toll in the bus bombing near Sri Lanka's capital has risen to 21. An additional 47 people have been wounded. Military spokesman Brig. Udaya Nananyakkara accused the Tamil Tiger rebels of detonating the roadside bomb that targeted the bus in Moratuwa, a suburb of Colombo. There was no immediate comment from Tamil rebels, who have fought since 1983 to create an independent homeland for the country's minority Tamils.
