SHAHKOT - The new federal budget is mere jugglery of words and the pre-planned budget is solely aimed at meeting the demands of loaning agencies particularly the IMF and there is no relief for common man in the current budget. PML-N MNA and Chairman Standing Committee on Information Technology and Telecom Ch Barjees Tahir made the remarks while commenting on the new federal budget presented in the National Assembly other day. He pointed out that the government in the budget announced raising salaries of government employees by 15 percent but on the other hand it had increased the electricity tariff by 150 per cent during the past three years which was alarming. He pointed out that each Pakistani was indebted of 30,000 and a terrific rise had been witnessed in the number of people living below the poverty line. The common man is living hand to mouth while the expanses of the Presidency and PM Houses has been increased manifold which has shattered the national economy, he claimed, adding that the incumbent government had lost its credibility due to unbalanced and unilateral decisions. The PML-N stalwart lamented that the parliament had been degraded as the government did nothing to implement the resolutions passed by the joint session.
