LOWER DIR - The traders of Timergara on Sunday urged the investors to invest in the area, as the situation became peaceful. This they said during the inaugural function of a new hotel here. The function was attended by businessmen, political figures and notables of the area. President Anjuman Tajran Timergara Haji Anwar-ud-Din, General Secretary Haji Noor Dawat Khan, JI leader Haji Noorul Wahab Pacha, former union council nazim Mushtaq Ali, advocate, and others addressed on the occasion. They said the region once gripped by militants was now peaceful so it was suitable for any kind of investment. They said majority of local investors had left the area when terrorist acts started. The situation now is under the control and investors are encouraged to come back and start business activities over here, Haji Anwar-ud-Din said, adding that tourism sector had also great potential and the government should pay attention towards it. He assured all tourists of their full cooperation and said local traders would take care of them. The chief guest of the function was KP Minister for Technical Education and Minerals Nawab Zada Mahmood Zeb. He appreciated the efforts of local investors and said they could boost economy if encouraged. He also assured the governments full cooperation to investors and tourists to come to the scenic valleys of Dir Lower and enjoy its beauty.
