OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE - Chairman Punjab Education Foundation Raja Muhammad Anwar has said that Punjab can be rightly termed as Education-friendly Province due to its proactive contribution in the promotion of education at the grassroots. The Chief Minister has provided ample funds for the education sector so that every child could get education near to doorsteps. While talking to a 10-member delegation of NGOs, social workers and teachers headed by Khalid Butt at his office on Sunday, he said that provision for the education will be increased in upcoming provincial budget so that 100 percent literacy could be achieved and no one could be deprived of education due to poverty or lack of resources. He said that the role of education in overall socio-economic development is very important as it helps to alleviate poverty and trains leaders of tomorrow. On the occasion, he also informed that Punjab Education Foundation has arranged quality educational facilities.
