It is highly distressing to read of the violence that ensues, as former Vice President of the Jamaat-e-Islami, Delwar Hossain Sayeedi is convicted and sentenced to death, on two of sixteen charges pressed against him in accordance to the crimes committed during the war of 1971. While a vast majority of the country celebrates the serving of justice, there are still, many who show opposition to the decisions being made. In what was hailed a historic day for Bangladesh, 53 lives were lost. As the third person is convicted by the International Crimes Tribunal, we are yet to see how many more innocent lives are lost as the proceedings continue.
