Ejazul Haq, the chief of his own faction of PML, has declared that not only Taliban but also India, the US and Afghanistan were hell bent on spoiling peace in Pakistan.
Talking to the media, he appreciated that formulation of National Security Policy by the present government and called upon the rulers to take all the political parties into confidence for implementing the policy. He also called for setting up of an independent and impartial commission for resolving the problems in FATA. He said at present no place in the country is safe from terrorists. Referring to attack on the Islamabad courts, he regretted that even 33 agencies remained unaware of the terror plan. He said that the government had delayed in initiating peace parleys with Taliban. Replying to a question, he said that in his opinion he felt that now Taliban were sincerely wanting for peaceful negotiations adding that government should continue negotiations with Taliban to save the country from further chaos and anarchy.
CALL FOR PROBE: Former naib tehsil nazim Muhammad Hanif called upon the district administration to order a probe for wasting Rs1.8 million for the desilting of Sem Nullah on the northern side of the city.
He said that contract for desilting was awarded to a contractor but he could not desilt the Nullah properly as a result of which sewage water was not flowing smoothly threatening different sorts of ailments.
Meanwhile, citizens also called upon the TMA administrator to ensure proper functioning of sewerage system in the city. They said that the sewerage system in the city remained choked in different localities most of the time due to technical faults, which, they said, should be rectified immediately.
