ISLAMABAD - In response to the stepped down demand of TTP-nominated team Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has invited both the negotiation teams on lunch today to have a direct interaction with the TTP nominated team for the first time since the initiation of dialogue process.

Coordinator of the TTP nominated team Moulana Yousuf Shah confirmed that they have received invitation from the Prime Minister's House, and Moulana Samiul Haq has accepted it.

Initially the TTP-backed committee in the maiden meeting with four-member government team had expressed their desire to meet Prime Minister, Chief of Army Staff and Director General Inter Services Intelligence (ISI), but later agreed to have a meeting with Prime Minister as the latter two had declined to have interaction with the TTP peace committee.

Sources in the government informed that both the sides would have a formal session before the lunch, which would likely be attended by Federal Interior Minister Ch. Nisar Ali Khan and a few other federal ministers.

The sources further said that besides other important issues the composition of the committees would also come under discussion, as a couple of members of the government committee wanted reconstitution of the committee or induction of some government functionaries in it to make it more representative and effective.

Earlier in the day while talking to media after holding meeting with the government team in Akora Khattak, Moulana Samiul Haq said that inclusion of the people from Establishment would make their task easier.

The sources in the government confirmed that the TTP nominated team would also be asked to have some key figures of TTP Shoora directly engaged in the parleys to make the whole exercise representative and effective.

The sources close to TTP nominated team informed that Moulana Samiul Haq would raise the issue of release of some of the TTP people in government captivity mainly women, children and elderly people, as confidence building measure.

On the other hand, the PM would likely to seek the help of TTP in hunting down of those elements defying the unilateral truce announced by TTP.
