Islamabad -  Islamabad police have promoted 49 officials, including five sub-inspectors, seven assistant sub-inspectors and 37 head constables to the next ranks.

The decision has been taken in the light of recommendations of the departmental promotion committee. The departmental promotion committee was presided over by DIG Headquarters Muhammad Khalid Khattak and also attended by other members including AIG (Establishment) Ashraf Zubair Siddiqui, SP (Headquarters) Rana Tahir-Ur-Rehman, DSP legal Azhar Hussain Shah and Office Superintendent Central Police Office Ch Muhammad Ashraf. Five sub-inspectors who have been promoted to the rank of inspector in BPS-16 are Muhammad Iftikhar, Muhammad Raiz Gondal, Muhammad Shaffi, Gulzar Ahmed and Shafqat Ullah Shah.

Likewise, seven assistant sub-inspectors including Ali Pur Khan, Rafi Ullah, Muhammad Nawaz, Muhammad Aslam, Muhammad Zia-Ul-Haq, Fazal Hussain and Malazam Hussain have been promoted to the rank of sub-inspector (BPS-14). The 37 head constables who got promotion to the rank of assistant-sub inspector (BPS-09) include Noor Ahmed, Muhammad Zakar, Afzal Ahmed, Muhammad Afzal, Ishfaq Ali Khan, Tariq, Mohsin Ali, Zamir-Ul-Hassan, Ishfaq Ahmed Shah, Farzan Begum, Zulfqar Ali, Hanif Kamal, Haq Nawaz, Shafqat Hussain, Mustaiq Hussain, Azam, Arshad, Ramzan, Zulfqar Ali, Nadeem Akhtar, Shabbir Hussain, Zafar Ullah, Asim Javid, Zahoor, Shafqat, Abbass, Munir Afsar, Muhammad Anyat, Sajjad Haidery, Burhan, Naveed Iqbal, Mehboob-Ur-Rehman, Sheraz, Akbar, Zulfiqar Ahmed, Tariq Mehmood and Nazar Muhammad.
