LAHORE - Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that there are strong historical, cultural and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and the ties between both countries will further strengthen by the recent visit of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to the kingdom.

“The glorious welcome given to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his delegation by the Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi government and the people reflects that they have deep love and affection for the people of Pakistan and want to further strengthen the existing relationship of mutual love and brotherhood between the two countries,” Shahbaz Sharif said.

During the meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Khadim-e-Harmain Sharifain Shah Salman bin Abdulaziz gave the message that Saudi Arabia was deeply interested in economic development and prosperity of Pakistan and its people, and would extend full support for this purpose, he added.

He said that the new Saudi King had stressed that the relationship of love and brotherhood between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia would stay forever. “The recent visit of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to Saudi Arabia is of vital importance and will result in further strengthening of brotherly relations and economic ties between the two countries,” he added.
