LAHORE - PTI Punjab Political Board has decided to form district committees in the province with the purpose of making preparations for the local bodies’ polls to be held this year.
The Board meeting was held at party’s provincial secretariat with PTI Punjab president Ijaz Chaudhary in the chair on Thursday. Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed, Dr Yasmin Rashid, Barrister Bakhtiar Kasuri and other party leaders were also present in the meeting. The meeting decided that district committees would make preparations for the upcoming local bodies’ elections, besides monitoring the delimitations for the local polls. It also decided for chalking out a plan for touring the districts as part of local bodies’ elections campaign.
The PTI leaders claimed, on this occasion, that tsunami would sweep the local polls. They said that their party would hold meeting focusing the local bodies’ polls strategy after the Senate completion of Senate election process, which includes election of the upper house chairman.
