Yesterday I was driving on Mall Road near the Military Hospital Rawalpindi and saw some desperate scenes, people were trying to cross the busy road in rush hours. Although, two speed breakers have been installed but realistically they do little to slow down the traffic. As most of the people who visit the MH hospital are patients our drivers should be more careful and helpful. Some of the drivers drive so recklessly that they don’t slow down and cross the speed breaker at breakneck speed. I didn’t see any traffic wardens to tackle the issue I would like to request the concern authorities to take the issue seriously on humanitarian grounds and install a pedestrian crossing bridge to mitigate the suffering of thousands of patients (people) who visit the hospital daily.
