rawalpindi - Regional Police Officer (RPO) Wisal Fakhar Sultan Raja dismissed a senior clerk from service while transferred a police officer over faulty investigations in a case, informed police spokesman yesterday.

According to him, RPO Wisal Fakhar dismissed a senior clerk Aqeel Shah of police department in light of a departmental inquiry in which he was found guilty of violating rules. He added that SI Khaleeq Ahmed was also transferred from Rawalpindi to Attock by RPO on account of holding faulty investigations in a case.

On the other hand, the RPO awarded Rs 5,000 cash and commendatory certificates to a police team including station police officers (SHOs) of police stations Gujar Khan and Mandra, Sheikh Muhammad Qasim and Muhammad Ishtiaq respectively, for recovering a 6-year-old boy Ghulam Ahmed from the captivity of kidnappers. The kidnappers had abducted the boy on 29/2/2016 for Rs 1.6 million ransom, the spokesman said.
