Sufi Muhammad finally shows his teeth. He has challenged the sovereignty of Pakistan and there is nothing we can do about it. When we have the Ministry of Interior in hands of the likes of Rehman Malik, this is what the outcome is going to be. This is the first act of the drama Pakistanis will see and we might re-enact the Fall of Dacca all over again. That was in 1971, some 38 years ago when many of the present generation were so young that they missed that horrible event. Sufi Muhammad will revive the old screenplay. My humble submission is why do it bit by bit? Why can't we do it in one go, even if it is very painful? -AMJAD H. MIRZA, Lahore, via e-mail, April 20.
