KARACHI - MQM chief Altaf Hussain has criticised the Awami National Party (ANP) leadership for not taking bold stand against Sufi Muhammads statements and the violation of Nizam-e-Adal regulation by the Taliban. In a statement issued on Tuesday, Altaf Hussain said that decent Pukhtoons were deeply shocked on the shameful and cowardly policies of the ANP and urged them to form their own party in order to uphold the courageous policies of Bacha Khan. He further said the upright Pukhtoon were opposed to the opportunist policies of the ANP promising full support to people who would raising their voice for the honour of Pakhtoons. Altaf Hussain appealed to the Pakhtoon people to wage 'Jihad for safeguarding their noble traditions. He added that the Pakhtoon still believed in the teachings of Khushhal Khan Khatak, Rehman Baba and Bacha Khan and would not hesitate from any sacrifices for upholding their ideals. MQM chief said that through the Nizam-e-Adl agreement with Taliban, ANP leaders had deceived the oppressed people of Swat, Buner, Dir and other parts of the NWFP. He further said that ANP leaders, through this deal, had left the entire population of the province at the mercy of the barbaric Taliban.
