Haji Pervaiz, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawazs MNA from Rawalpindi, has resigned from his seat of the Parliament after he was found guilty of letting nephew sit in examination in his place, said party chief and former premier Mian Nawaz Sharif here Wednesday. The party had asked him to tender his resignation as he failed to prove his innocence in the scandal, and he has submitted the resignation to us, Nawaz told reporters. Haji Pervaiz had won his NA seat in the by-elections from NA-55, Rawalpindi. The seat was vacated by Makhdoom Javed Hashmi. He was scheduled to sit in intermediate examination on April 29 but his nephew was caught giving the paper at his place.
