KARACHI (PPI) - Noted intellectual, poet and writer of Qamar Shahbaz, passed away Tuesday morning due to a heart attack. He was 76. He suffered a heart attack last night and was admitted to National Medical Central where he breathed his last on Tuesday morning. He left behind a widow, four daughters and a son. His daughter said that the health of his father was quite well but he suddenly suffered a heart attack. Qamar Shahbaz was an influential, writer and a poet. His write-ups created sensations among the people belonging to literary world. Yousuf Shaheen Dawoodpota, a noted writer of Sindh expressed shock over the demise of Qamar Shahbaz. He lauded the services of Qamar Shahbaz rendered for people of Sindh through his writing and poetry. He said that Qamar Shahbazs literary services would be remembered forever. Sindh Education Minister Pir Mazharul Haq has expressed sorrow and grief over the sad demise of noted writer Qamar Shahbaz. In a condolence message on Tuesday, he prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage and fortitude to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable los.
