A stressed society

Stress has become part of our daily lives, whether it is a child or an adult, we all feel the pressures of the society. Psychologists believe that the more a situation is unpredictable and uncontrollable or when a traumatic event occurs and results in life changing circumstances, the more the stress is heightened. Analyzing the situation and the environment in which we live, we can see that these conditions are major part of our lives.
When there is no surety that we can come back home safe everyday life is stressed, add to that the ongoing street crimes and loadshedding which have made everyone miserable. The reactions can be seen in the form of anxiety, anger, aggression and depression prevailing in common man. Due to the continuous physical and mental stress people are having breakdowns; there are incidents of suicide and killings in anger as well as an increase in road accidents. If these circumstances prevail the productivity of each person in the society will decrease, further resulting in a society overcome by mental disorders.
