Los Angeles-Britney Spears is planning to marry her boyfriend of one year, David Lucado.

Spears, 32, is convinced that 28-year-old David is the one. “She wants a traditional family, and he’s loving, down-to-earth – and a great stepfather to her sons, Sean and Jayden,” a pal tells Life & Style. “She’s already told friends that if David dropped to one knee tomorrow, she would definitely say yes.”

David, who works in law, “recently moved in with her,” reveals another source, “and both feel that marriage is the next step for them. “She wants a white wedding and a church ceremony,” says an insider, “and she’ll have her close friends and family there.”

In January 2004, Spears married childhood friend Jason Allen Alexander at The Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas. The marriage was annulled 55 hours later, stating that Spears “lacked understanding of her actions”. In July 2004, Spears became engaged to American dancer Kevin Federline, whom she had met three months before. The romance received intense attention from the media, since Federline had recently broken up with actress Shar Jackson.

In November 2006, Spears filed for divorce from Federline, citing irreconcilable differences. Their divorce was finalized in July 2007, when the couple reached a global settlement and agreed to share joint custody of their children. Recent reports claimed David is using Britney for fame and fortune.

Sources said that although Lucado seems to dote on Spears in public, he disrespects the singer behind her back. “David makes fun of Britney all the time,” a source said. “He says she’s extremely boring and always crack jokes at her expense. Britney is head-over heels for David, but he’s just using her for the high life.”
