Musharraf highlights malicious political propaganda

KARACHI- Former President Pervez Musharraf today submitted a written reply at the Sindh High Court, saying that all his cases were politically motivated.

The 13-page reply claimed that cases against the former President had malicious propaganda against the military leader. Pervez Musharraf’s lawyer Farogh Nasim submitted the reply that demanded Musharraf’s name to be removed from the Exit Control List (ECL) since the cases were politically motivated.

The reply reportedly added that the government had not been able to prove anything in the cases. Previously, the government had strongly opposed Musharraf’s departure from the country on any ground and stated that he was accused in other high profile cases.

The government had also contended that allowing Musharraf to go abroad for the treatment would be a violation of the Article 25 of the Constitution as adequate medical facilities are available in Pakistan.
