MUZAFFARGARH-Two proclaimed offenders including Khalid Khokhar alias Khalidie managed to escape after firing gunshots on a police party, leaving behind two hand grenades and 1,500 bullets of AK-47.
According to Head Constable Muzaffar Hussain and Constable Abdul Hameed, they were on patrol when they spotted two persons beating an elderly man who hit their motorcycle. When they challenged them they fired gunshots which they retaliated. At which both the accused fled by firing into the air to keep the general public away from them. The fleeing accused also opened fire in front of a bank where a police guard was stood. The accused managed to escape, leaving a bag containing two hand grenades and 1,500 bullets of a Kalashnikov.
Meanwhile, DPO Zameerul Haq vowed that the proclaimed offenders would be arrested at all cost.
