Islamabad - On the invitation of Turkish Ambassador in Islamabad Babur S Girgin, Roots Millennium Schools Islamabad in collaboration with Turkish Radio Television (TRT) arranged a trip for a group of ten students to International Children Festival 2015, Antalya, Turkey.
The trip was organized for a 13-day span to promote cultural awareness about Turkey among young students (ages between 9-11 years), says a press release issued here on Tuesday.
A group of ten Millennials from RMS Islamabad and nationwide campuses accompanied by Fauzia Khan (Outreach Manager RMS) got the opportunity to explore the beautiful Antalya which is a resort destination in Turkey and gateway to its southern Mediterranean region.
The young Millennials from RMS Islamabad, Gujranwala, Mirpur, Peshawar and Rawalpindi formed a 10-member group.
The trip was organised as part of the ‘Learning Beyond Borders’ and Outreach initiative by Roots Millennium Schools which aims to develop the students by providing them opportunities to travel across borders, explore and enrich their knowledge and learning with international exposure with new and exciting experiences. Such trips provide young Millennials with rich cultural learning through immersion in the various diverse cultures around the globe.
According to the Millennials, Antalya is no doubt a tourist paradise with breathtaking scenic beauty. It is a melting pot of many diverse races and cultures including the Europe and other parts of the world, living together with great harmony, tolerance and peace.
The Turks are very friendly, humble and hospitable towards Pakistan and Pakistanis.
They were very welcoming and have immense acceptance towards tourists and for different races.
The group visited various sites of attraction within the Antalya. At the time of the visit 23rd International Children’s Independence Day spirit was in the air all around Antalya and RMS young travellers enjoyed the festivities of the International Children’s Day Festival thoroughly organised by the hosts Turkish Radio Television-TRT.
The site seeing such as wax museum and Antalya Harbour to name the few; was worthwhile to visit.
