Commission formed by CJP on PM's letter not acceptable: Imran Khan

LAHORE: Panama Leaks issue has become more complex and continues to be a bone of contention between government and Opposition. While talking to a private TV channel,  Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said that expulsion of even a single point from Terms of Reference (TORs) would not be tolerated and the investigation will not be accepted.

The PTI chairman said that Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif is putting his entire government on stake just to hide his corruption.

He said that PTI will reject the commission if formed by the Chief Justice on the basis of PM’s letter. He added that CJ should form a commission like Shoaib Suddle and sit-in commission.

He blamed Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and said that the party tried to defame him by bribing Sita White, publishing interviews with his opponents and accusing his former wife Jemima Khan to be a part of Jewish lobby.

Imran Khan said his party’s leaders Jahangir Khan Tareen and Aleem Khan are themselves answerable to allegations hurled against them.

Speaking to another private TV channel, Khan said the government would be held accountable for not arresting the two PTI leaders if they were involved in any wrongdoings.

“The two have however declared their assets,” he added. Commenting on the issue of women harassment at PTI rallies, Khan said he regretted the unfortunate incidents, and that he was preparing a workers’ force in order to avoid such untoward incidents happening in the future.
