Rawalpindi - Executive District Officer (EDO) Education Qazi Zahoor ul Haq yesterday said that the children working in brick kilns are being enrolled in schools. The purpose of enrolling the children in schools is to eliminate child labour following the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shehbaz Sharif, he added

EDO Education Qazi Zahoor said that the district education department has been enrolling all the children with schools who are working in brick kilns. “We are working hard on the issue so that the children can serve their country in a better way after getting education,” he said, adding on directions of CM Punjab the government is also pulling out the children who are working at hotels, auto workshops, petrol pumps, bus terminals and other industries and also enrolling them in schools. 

“The Punjab government is taking concrete steps to educate children besides providing them free of cost uniforms, books, copies, bags and other stationery items,” EDO said.

He said that the educated people can only change the fate of countries and education department is facilitating the children and their parents. Qazi Zahoor ul Haq urged the parents to send their children to schools for getting education.
