LAHORE : The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has arrested the former Pepco managing director Tahir Basharat Cheema.

Cheema is accused of illegal appointments in the Gujranwala Electric Supply Company (Gepco) during his tenure and misuse of authority. He will be presented in an accountability court today (Friday) to seek his remand. Cheema is also accused in the rental power projects scandal which includes former prime minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf.
