ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) yesterday decided to write letters to all bar associations to seek their support on the draft of Terms of Reference (TORs) prepared by the nine opposition parties to probe Panama Leaks.

The decision was taken in an important meeting of PTI held under the chair of Imran Khan while senior leaders of the party, including Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Naeemul Haq, Dr Shireen Mazari attended the meeting besides others.

An office-bearer of PTI told The Nation that Shah Mahmood Qureshi gave a briefing to the chairman PTI and other participants on the draft TORs prepared by the opposition parties for the judicial commission to probe Panama Leaks. Qureshi informed the meeting about the stance of all opposition parties with regard to the demand of the resignation of the prime minister and the draft of TORs.

The deputy parliamentary leader of PTI Shah Mahmood Qureshi is also head of the political committee of PTI on Panama Leaks that has been tasked to meet various political parties and other segments of the society to win their support on the issue. Qureshi also briefed the chairman about its various meeting with the bar associations and other political parties.

PTI chairman has also formed a seven member organising committee to make preparations for Faisalabad rally being held on May 20. Ijaz Chaudhry, former PTI president Punjab would head the committee. Earlier, there was a rift within the party on the issue of organizing the rally and PTI chief had to cancel the scheduled May 8 rally in Faisalabad.

Separately, PTI has also decided that it would provide the video footage about sexual harassment of its female workers during its rallies in Islamabad and Lahore to the government for further investigations. Central Information Secretary PTI Naeemul Haq said that the video evidence would help in identifying the culprits and thus they could be brought to book.
