Islamabad  - The local police Thursday arrested two people who were trying to enter the Diplomatic Enclave while carrying a pistol and 45 live rounds in their car, the police said yesterday.

Ihsan along with his brother Muhammad Shafi, residents of Charsadda Road Eid Gah Colony Peshawar reached gate No 1 of the Diplomatic Enclave on their car bearing registration number UD-974 for shuttle service up to Japan embassy for visa job. During the checking, the police recovered a 9mm pistol along with 45 live rounds from their car. Both the individuals were shifted to Secretariat Police Station for further investigation. Security is at high alert in the city after a threat alert issued by the intelligence agencies that terrorists may strike some important installations in the city.  Meanwhile, on the directions of Inspector General, National Highways & Motorway Police Shaukat Hayat Khan, a Complaint Cell has been established in the National Highways & Motorway Police Headquarters, Islamabad to resolve the complaints of general public in a shortest possible time.
