Formulation of Gender Responsive Strategy of National Highways and Motorway Police is a proof of our commitment to the vision of promoting gender sensitive policing. NH&MP DIG Ahmad Arslan Malik said this while addressing a seminar on gender equality and sensitisation at workplace at zonal office Saturday.  Gender strategy of NH&MP includes improving representations of women in police, developing capacities and competencies, enhancing role, positioning and visibility, cultivating gender sensitive work environment, assimilating gender learning into police training and enriching policing services with equality perspectives, he added. Punjab University Law College Principal Dr Shazia Qureshi elaborated the role of women at workplace with reference to international treaties and constitutions. Zenab Saeed, Senior Manager Kashf Foundation, said gender equality was associated with improved national productivity and economic growth, increased organisational performance and enhanced department reputation. –APP
