LAHORE - More and more dengue fever patients continued to visit already overburdened public sector hospitals and private healthcare centres across the province including the City. On Friday, as many as 194 new dengue fever patients were reported from across the province and out of these 157 were from the provincial metropolis. According to the reports of Punjab Health Department, so far 2,634 dengue fever patients have been reported from across the province and out of these 2,202 are from the provincial metropolis. As many as 2,439 dengue fever patients have made recovery and only 194 are under treatment at various hospitals. According to the report, 82 new cases of dengue fever were reported from Nawaz Sharif Hospital, 15 from Institute of Public Health, 13 from Lahore General Hospital, 10 from Services Hospital, 4 from Kot Khawaja Saeed Hospital, 2 from City District Government Dispensary and one each from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and Lahore Cantt Hospital. 17 dengue patients were reported from Holy Family Hospital Rawalpindi, 9 from Allied Hospital Faisalabad, 3 from Sheikh Zayed Hospital Rahim Yar Khan, 1 each from DHQ Hospital Mianwali and DHQ Hospital Gujranwala. Spokesman of Health Department has said 2,439 dengue patients have recovered which is 90 percent of the total number of such patients while only 10 percent are still under treatment.
