Chattisinghpora ghost revisits south Kashmir

In occupied Kashmir, panic struck the Islamabad district a few hours before the US President, Barack Obama arrived in New Delhi, as unidentified gunmen appeared at Hutmurah village near Mattan on late Friday night and asked inhabitants to come out of their homes. According to Kashmir Media Service, a group of unidentified gunmen tried to storm the houses of Sikh community, but they had to flee as locals created uproar seizing their vehicle. "Late in the evening unidentified gunmen stormed our village and started knocking the doors of Sikh families. All locals in the area started an uproar which disturbed the plans of the gunmen who later fled from the spot leaving their vehicle," locals told media men. The residents said that they managed to catch the driver of the vehicle and handed him over to the Mattan police. The village is barely 10 kilometers away from the Islamabad town on the Khanabal-Pahalgam road. Pertinently, on March 20, 2000 when the then US President, Bill Clinton visited India unidentified gunmen killed 35 Sikhs in Chattisinghpora village of the same district. The investigations in the incident proved that it was the handiwork of Indian intelligence agencies along with Indian army personnel.
