LAHORE Garrison Boys High School Cantt lifted the third Lahore Inter Schools Games Rugby title organized by the Punjab Olympic Association. Playing at the DHA Rugby Stadium, Garrison fought like knights to claim gold medal. In a hard fought match, they beat Government Model High School Model Town by a small margin of three points which they took on penalty. Ashraf of Garrison School was declared the man of the tournament. Eight school competed in the 7s format tournament divided in to two pools. Pool A comprised Government High School Jalo Mor, Trust School Tokar Niaz Baig, Lord International Gulberg, City School Ravi Campus while pool B have City School Model Town, Garrison Boys High School Cantt, Government Model High School Model Town, Educators Shahdbagh. The pool matches were held on a round robin bases with the following school qualifying for the semi-final Garrison Boys High School Cantt, Trust School Tokar Niaz Baig, Government Model High School Model Town and City School Ravi Campus. The first semi-final was won by Garrison Boys High School Cantt defeating Trust School Tokar Niaz Baig 5-0 and Government Model High School Model Town defeated City School Ravi Campus by 22-0 in the second semi-final. The bronze medal was claimed by Trust School Tokar Niaz Baig which defeated City School Ravi Campus. Punjab Rugby Association chief Lt. Gen Ashraf Chaudhary was the chief guest of the prize distribution ceremony.
