ISLAMABAD - Managing Director/CEO Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), Muhammad Naeem Malik, bade farewell to OGDCLs Haj contingent comprising thirty staff members here on Friday. Muhammad Naeem Malik congratulated the lucky employees who were selected through a draw to perform Haj this year sponsored by OGDCL. He said all the Muslims desired to perform Haj obligation once in their lifetime. He desired that the Haj contingent of OGDCL should pray for safety and security of their colleagues performing their duties in the neck and corner of the country. MD/CEO expressed his sorrow and grief over the tragic plane crash at Karachi Airport that was scheduled for Bhit Oil Field. He prayed for the departed souls that Allah Almighty might grant them eternal peace in the heavens and solitude to their families to bear this irreparable loss. He desired that Haj contingent should pray for betterment and welfare of Muslim Ummah, safety and prosperity of Pakistan and success of OGDCL in exploration of hydrocarbon resources in the country. Earlier CBA General Secretary Muhammad Aqleem Khan thanked the management for this noble cause of sending OGDCLs employees to perform Haj under the sponsorship scheme. OGDCL had started this scheme under CBA Memorandum of Settlement in 1985 when four staff members were allowed to perform Haj at the Companys expense.
