In occupied Kashmir, senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, has said that the killing of over 111 innocent persons during the present uprising has brought Kashmir back into focus at the international level. According to Kashmir Media Service, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, remains under house arrest in Srinagar, talking to media men said, "The sacrifices rendered by our people have again returned focus on the Kashmir issue and there is great talk about it going on in world press at present." The senior APHC leader, maintaining that pro-freedom leadership was never against result-oriented dialogue, urged New Delhi to make atmosphere conducive for the talks process. "For any dialogue to be successful, New Delhi needs to create conducive atmosphere and accept Jammu and Kashmir as international dispute, revoke draconian laws and punish perpetrators of human rights violations including those involved in Machil fake encounter," he added. Shabbir Ahmad Shah also reiterated appeal to the US President to facilitate in dialogue between Pakistan and India to resolve the dispute over Kashmir once and for all.
