ISLAMABAD - Former Senator Dr Shehzad Waseem on Friday called on the US to invest in public sector projects to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries on permanent basis. Talking to Fatuma Sanneh, US Political Secretary in Pakistan who called on him here at his residence, he said that the US should give access to Pakistani products in the US markets which would further relations in trade sector. He said that Pakistan has its own identity in the region and having good relations with Pakistan is in the US interest. He said that currently Pakistan is facing lot of problems and difficulties in the energy sector and US could help overcome this problem. He also thanked the US government and the people for their help to flood-affected people.
