OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Lahore High Court Chief Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry on Saturday passed orders for withdrawing of judicial work from two judges forthwith. They have been found guilty of corruption, dishonesty and misuse of judicial authority. According to a notification issued by LHC Register Sohail Nasir, the chief justice has directed Secretary of the Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Division to withdraw judicial work from Mian Zafar Iqbal Bohar, Judge/Chairman Drug Court Bahawalpur and expedite his removal from the court. Zafar Iqbal was found guilty in an inquiry conducted by Ch Ameer Muhammad Khan, District and Sessions Judge, Rahim Yar Khan, on a complaint against him. The CJ has directed the Law & Justice Ministry to appoint any other person on his place. The LHC had earlier placed services of Zafar Iqbal at the disposal of the Federal government for his appointment as judge/chairman of the Drug Court, which fall under jurisdiction of the federal government. According to another notification, the chief justice has also directed the District & Sessions Judge Lahore to withdraw judicial work from Zubair Shahzad, Additional District & Sessions Judge forthwith, as he, too, had been found guilty of corruption.
